Attracting over 100,000 visitors every year, Loggerheads Country
Park offers a variety of trails, allowing you to explore and delve
into the historical past. A past that has created some
awe inspiring limestone cliffs which represents a truly great
opportunity to gain some altitude, witness the stunning views that
overlook an area abundant in wildlife and natural beauty.
Whilst observing the landscape at this height, you will be able to
pick and choose from a number of different activities
available. Whether you prefer a relaxing gentle stroll along
the trails; an active, adrenaline absorbing abseil down the Devil's
Gorge, or simply to sit, have a picnic and take in the fresh air, a
memorable day awaits.
The history and breathtaking country-side walks of the area
usually dominate people's interest and appeal. This is
unsurprising, particularly when the 350 million-year-old limestone
is evidence of a time when Wales lay near the equator in a tropical
sea teeming with life.
Journey's to the tranquil River Alyn and the panoramic viewing
area Clwydian Range, can therefore lead you to new areas, every
time. At Loggerheads each visit will seem like a new
visit
Moel Famau crowned by the iconic Jubilee Tower is the highest
point in the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The
walks to the summit are rewarded with magnificent views. It is also
the 200th birthday of the Jubilee Tower this year -
watch out for celebration events!
