Towns & shopping

Bring your credit cards – you’ll need them in Wrexham, the biggest retail destination in the region. You’ll find traditional high street shopping here – and plenty of coffee shops where you can rest up between splurges. There are street markets and a new shopping area called Eagles Meadow with big name department stores and fashion outlets, plus a 10-pin bowling alley and lots of restaurants. Mold is the place to browse if you like little curiosity shops and local produce. Tootle over to Plassey Craft Centre, with its individual craft outlets, charming tea shops and restaurants. Or catch farmers’ markets in towns like Mold, Holywell and Denbigh. Detailed information can be found in What to see and do.
