What’s coming up in February?

We're almost half way through January, it's flown by!  But this means it's time to start looking at what events are coming up in February.  We've put together a selection of events that are taking place in the North Wales Borderlands that are not to be missed!

Comedy

There are two big comedy events taking place in February at Glyndwr in Wrexham.  On the 1st February there's the ' Mike Gunn and Sean Collins - Still on the Roadshow'.  Then on the 10th February Chris Ramsey will be performing at Glyndwr, Chris is a well known comedian and has appeared in a number of different panel shows including '8 Out of 10 Cats' and 'Celebrity Juice'.   Both of these nights will be great fun, if you would like tickets for either them then you can book via the Glyndwr website

Music

There are also two great music events taking place in the North Wales Borderlands in February.  On the 19th February Ensemble Amaranthos will be performing at the Clwyd Theatr Cymru in Mold.  Ensemble Amaranthos are a period ensemble formed back in 2006 in London by five graduates from the Royal College of Music.  In 2008, they were the winners of the 'Fenton House Early Keyboard Ensemble Compeition'.  Then towards the end of the month Max Boyce will be performing at The Stiwt Theatre in Rhos.  Max has played concerts around the world and has sold over two million albums, so definitely not one to be missed!

Kids

Take the kids to Llangollen Railway for a 'Day Out With Thomas', this is a great day out for the kids, tickets cost £15 for adults and £10 for children.  As well has being able to take a ride on Thomas, the ticket includes free access to the Imagination Station, face painting, stickers and lots of other entertainment including storytelling and a puppet show. There's plenty to keep the kids busy!  Thomas the Tank Engine will be visiting Llangollen Railway on the following dates in February:
